Time to rejoice, kakampinks!

Supporters of presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo can now engage in her campaign activities with the new online platform called the Leni App.

This means Robredo’s kakampinks have an easy way to keep up with the presidential candidate by clicking the app on Android and iOS.

Karla Aguda, a member of the app development team, said the online platform would be a means to “double our base..., it's conversion. It's getting...soft votes from the other side.”

“How we do this is already a hodgepodge of features. Engagement is one main feature, so liking posts, digital warriors, keeping people cohesive and engaged on the same topics,” said Aguda.

The goal was to set up an online platform designed specifically to point in the right direction those who want to campaign for Robredo’s presidential bid.

This Leni App was spearheaded by Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance, a non-governmental organization supporting the candidacy of Robredo.

It also seeks to “solidify support for the Vice President in the digital age by bridging the gap between the official campaign and the different grassroots groups” backing Robredo.

Upon sign up, the app will assign tasks to the users. The tasks revolve around engaging with various posts about Robredo on social media.

After completing the tasks, the users will be rewarded with “hero points.” The points are computed based on the completed assignments.

The app is also a one-stop-shop for volunteer kits and resources such as downloadable designs for posters and tarps that the users can have printed.

There are also links to various resources and news materials that volunteers can use in campaigning for the Vice President.

“ volunteer kit ranges from the conversation starters, training videos, media, the collaterals that you see, FAQs, what are you allowed to do, do's and don'ts, if you’re being harassed, voter harassment, how far can you go in terms of your rights,” Aguda said.

Currently, the Leni 2022 App follows a one-is-to-many format, and users cannot interact directly with other users through the app.

However, other upcoming features are lined up, including a way for users to get assistance should they encounter issues while campaigning for Robredo.
