Almost P1M worth of ecstasy tablets, cannabis oil seized

Almost P1 million worth of ecstasy tablets and cannabis oil were seized during the operation conducted by the Bureau of Custom Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC), Pasay City.

The confiscated items were inside the four shipments with misdeclared items– the first was shipment was from Germany which contained 394 pieces of ecstasy tablets.

The second shipment was from the United States was discovered to contain 425 grams of suspected cannabis and cannabis oil while the two other shipments with cannabis oil were seized from two warehouses.

All shipments were turned over to PDEA.

The BOC and the PDEA have stepped the drive against smuggling of illegal drugs in the past months.
