Preferred rates for vehicles with driver-assist features
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), with AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance, announced the Honda SENSING Insurance Partnership Program. It offers preferential rates for comprehensive insurance to customers who purchase Honda models equipped with the Honda SENSING, such as the all-new Civic, CR-V, and Accord. The year-long partnership is up to December 31, 2022, and will include other models with Honda SENSING that HCPI will launch within the program timeframe.
Honda has always strongly advocated road safety and HCPI is among the first car brands in the Philippines to offer a suite of driver-assist safety features which we now know as Honda SENSING. This is in line with Honda’s mission to provide safe and reliable vehicles to realize zero traffic collision fatalities, in which not only automobile occupants, but everyone, including pedestrians and other road users, may share the road safely and with peace of mind.
Analysis of road accidents revealed that many fatal mishaps are caused by vehicles straying from their lanes. Motivated to create a solution, Honda developed the “Honda SENSING” suite, a driver-assist system that operates to detect and take action to avoid situations such as one-car accidents, collisions, pedestrian injuries, and missed road signs.
The recent launch of the 11th generation all-new Civic highlights the latest version of the Honda SENSING given the usage of a monocular camera that has better recognition and can measure the distance target of the vehicle or obstacles ahead.
This gives the compact sedan high-tech safety features like Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) – the ability to recognize pedestrians during day and night, bicycles, left / right turning across the path, and preceding motorcycles. It also has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS); Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW); Auto High-Beam (AHB); and Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), a new feature exclusive on the all-new Civic.
Perfectly complementing Honda SENSING, for over 10 years, Honda sustains its excellent results and safety ratings in the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia). Hailed as the Best Road Safety Partner in January 2022 during the 10th-anniversary celebration of ASEAN NCAP, this affirms Honda’s commitment to safety for its customers and everyone who shares the road.
Customers may avail of the preferential rates from AXA Philippines and BPI MS Insurance for the following Honda SENSING models: the all-new Civic in S Turbo, V Turbo, and RS Turbo variants; the CR-V in S Diesel 9AT, and SX Diesel 9AT variants; and the Accord EL Turbo.
Coverage of the comprehensive motor vehicle insurance with preferred rates includes Own Damage/Theft; Acts of Nature; Voluntary Third-Party Liability / Excess Bodily Injury; Voluntary Third-Party Liability / Property Damage; and Passenger Accident (Php 50,000 per seat + medical reimbursements).
