Three persons were burned to death after their car caught fire on the southbound lane of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) corner North Road, Brgy. Bagong Lipunan Crame, Quezon City on Friday, Feb. 18.
The fatalities were identified as Airman 1st Class Sabado Angelo, Airman 1st Class Aaron Tabarle, and Airman 1st Class Kyle Justine Velasco, who were all members of the Philippine Air Force.
The driver who survived the accident was identified as Airman Second Class Manuel Ognes.
According to a report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the victims were cruising along EDSA towards Ortigas Avenue at around 1:59 a.m. when their car hit the concrete and plastic barriers of the bus lane.
A fire was ignited after the victims' car bumped into the barriers which caused their deaths.
