Kim Atienza: 'Network wars bring nothing but hatred between fans'

Seasoned weatherman and TV host Kim Atienza recently shared his two cents about the so-called "network wars."

On Twitter, the former ABS-CBN stalwart who has since transferred to GMA, wrote: "Wala talaga dapat kapamilya, kapuso o kapatid. Network wars bring nothing but hatred between fans that are better off enjoying ALL channels."

He wrote this as reply to a netizen's comment: "Wala naman kayong kalaban e."

The online user wrote the comment as reaction to Kim's latest post about his show's latest milestone.

According to a Feb. 14 survey of NUTAM People Ratings (Nielsen Phils. TAM) based on Preliminary/Overnight Data, "Dapat Alam Mo!" received 7.2 combined GMA and GTV channel ratings, while TV5's "Frontline Pilipinas" had 2.3 and 0.8 for "Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity S10's" combined A2Z and Kapamilya Channel.

Recall that the Philippine television news magazine program broadcast by GTV and GMA Network, hosted by Kim along with Emil Sumangil and Patricia Tumulak, premiered on October 2021 on GTV's evening lineup. But last Feb. 14, it was shown on GMA as a replacement to Willie Revillame's "Wowowin."

Meanwhile, Kim also "liked" different tweets involving his program.

Among these:

"Araw araw po kami na nonood ng GMA24ORAS"

"2022 king ina ka! Kalaban pa din? Hahaha kaya kayo napasara eh"

"Hearing @kuyakim_atienza in gma really hits different! (hundred points symbol emoji)"

"I'm glad they moved the show to GMA. Been watching this since they started in GTV. Mas siksik pa sa updates compared to #24Oras and I like the fast-paced approach. Congratulations! #DapatAlamMo"
