The Pasay City government recorded on Friday, Jan. 28, a 97.48% recovery rate from coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that out of the 28,400 confirmed cases, 27,683 have already recovered from the virus.
Rubiano said doctors and nurses are giving double time in monitoring the patients for their immediate recovery, bringing the active cases in the city down to 145.
She said the city government is continuously encouraging all the residents to get the jabs against the dreaded disease for their own protection.
The mayor said the city government is also distributing nutritious foods weekly to all COVID-19 patients.
Rubiano said each food pack contains one whole chicken, 2 kilos of rice, vegetables, fruits, and ready to eat food.
She added that home care kits were also distributed to all residents who are on home quarantine.
