LOOK: Presidential aspirant Ping Lacson sports Air Jordan for Manila Bulletin interview

Senator Lacson wears the dark teal iteration

Senator Panfilo Lacson appeared in Manila Bulletin’s Hotseat program sporting an iteration of the well-loved lifestyle shoe Air Jordan 1 Low. Wearing a light blue pique polo shirt and dark wash denim jeans, the Presidential candidate accessorized his look with a smart watch and Air Jordan 1 Low in dark teal.

The Air Jordan 1 Low in dark teal, which was announced in August 2021, was an updated version of the 1985 original designed by Peter Moore for basketball icon Michael Jordan. The new silhouette, which is no longer exclusive for basketball players, features contrasting leather base, toe box, and overlays, Nike’s profile Swooshes, the Jumpman branding on the tongue, and wings insignias on the heel.

Complementing block colors of white, black, and dark teal are used on this iteration but some models of the Air Jordan 1 also come with prints, textures, and metallic releases. The iconic model has also been a choice of collaborators in the past with Dior and Travis Scott editions.
