Actress Rita Avila revealed that she cleared the air with talk show host Boy Abunda, adding that the latter had good words for Vice President Leni Robredo during their conversation.
In a social media post, Avila said she reached out to Abunda after criticizing him for his constantly interrupting Robredo while the Vice President was answering during their one-on-one interview.
“Out of decency, I reached out to him, and he called to return the respect,” said Avila, who shared to her followers that Abunda had good words for VP Robredo when he called her up.
“Boy had good words for VP Leni when he called me up. Am sharing this para medyo mapawi naman ang mga puso nating nasaktan,” Avila revealed.
“Magkaiba man kami ng pananaw ay bukas kami dahil pareho kaming pranka at totoo sa isa’t isa,” she added.

Avila said she and Abunda promised to remain as good friends “in this kind of world.”
Netizens praised Avila for defending the Vice President and his political stand amid criticisms from online trolls.
“You’re such a great and empowered woman. You know your worth and really know where to stand,” said Facebook user Erwel Pineda Ferrer.
#LeniAngatSaLahat became the No. 1 worldwide trending topic on Twitter with more than 166,000 tweets during Robredo’s interview with Abunda.
