After getting fully vaccinated, four of five Filipinos are now willing to bolster their protection against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with booster shots. This, as the number of daily incidences of coronavirus infections is kept below the 20,000 level anew, with more and more recoveries also being recorded.

Despite the downward trend nationwide, six places were placed under Alert Level 3 due to spikes in COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, after the economy was reported to have bounced back by 5.6 percent in 2021, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) allowed the increase in the prices of 73 basic goods.
