The Marikina City local government announced on Thursday, Jan. 27, the walk-in COVID-19 vaccination schedules for the adult and minor populations.

Walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations are only allowed for residents, workers, and individuals 12 to 17 years old in Marikina City.

According to the Marikina Public Information Office (PIO), the vaccination will be held on Jan. 28 and 31, as well as Feb. 2 to 3, at the Marikina High School and the Marikina Sports Center.

The vaccination program will start from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Residents were also advised to bring their respective IDs with a Marikina address.

Those who will avail booster shots are required to bring their original vaccination cards.

In accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) guidelines, only those who received the second dose two to three months prior can avail the booster shot.

Meanwhile, the Marikina PIO also noted that Marikina residents who have been vaccinated with the first and second doses in other areas can also get the booster jab.

The city government launched the walk-in booster vaccination for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens last Jan. 25.

As of Jan. 23, the city recorded 31,051 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 663 cases, 29,709 recoveries, and 679 deaths.
