7,000 Pasay day care students receive learning kits


The Pasay City government distributed learning kits to 7,000 children studying at the city’s 118 day care centers.

Mayor Emi Callixto-Rubiano said each kit contains charts of the alphabets, colors and different kinds of vegetables; science, mathematics and writing books; an envelope containing bond paper, art paper, pencils crayons, clay, a pair of scissors, a glue, an eraser and a sharpener.

Rubiao said aside from the learning kits, the day care students were also given uniforms for boys and girls, early childhood care and development (ECCD) checklist; hygiene kits with alcohol, toothpaste, toothbrush, face mask, baby wipes, face towel and nail cutter.

She said the most important chart that was included in the learning packets is the EMI Habit (ensure to always wash your hands, mask is a must and implement physical distancing).

The mayor led the distribution held at different covered courts in 201 barangays and was assisted by the City Social Welfare and Development chief Angie Roa-Yu.

Rubiano said the city government’s program for day care students is also part of her HELP agenda (Health care and housing, Education, economic growth and environment; Livelihood and lifestyle; Peace and order, palengke (market) and pamilya (family).
