Robredo turns over 500 COVID-19 kits to Zamboanga City


Vice President Leni Robredo turned over 500 COVID-19 home care kits and launched the Ayudahan E-Konsulta during a visit to the Zamboanga City Hall on Wednesday, January 26.

Zamboanga mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar thanked Robredo for the assistance while describing it as a big help to the city’s anti-COVID campaign.

Prior to the turnover of the kits at the City Hall lobby, Robredo was greeted by dozens of supporters after arriving from Basilan Province.

Robredo spearheaded the turnover of the Angat Buhay Weaving Center in Lamitan City for Yakan weavers on Tuesday morning.

The center was constructed through the Angat Buhay program of the Office of the Vice President together with the Lamitan city government, private contractor C.C. Buencamino Architect and One Meralco Foundation.

Robredo also visited fisherfolks in Barangay Lukboton, Malamawi Island in Isabela City, Basilan who received equipment and training from the Office of the Vice President’s Angat Buhay project.

Last Tuesday, Robredo visited Tawi Tawi Province where she turned over antigen test kits and personal protective equipment (PPE) to Governor Yshmael I. Sali, Vice Governor Michail Ahaja and Bongao mayor Jimuel Que at the Tawi Tawi Provincial Capitol.

She also traveled on the same day to Sulu Province where she met Governor Abdusakur Tan and visited Barangay Pag-asinan in Hadji Panglima Tahil Municipality where the OVP helped the municipality in building a timber footbridge for residents.
