Rita Avila calls out Boy Abunda for 'cutting' VP Leni Robredo during interview

Veteran actress Rita Avila expressed disappointment relating to how seasoned TV host Boy Abunda conducted his recent interview with Vice President Leni Robredo.

The 53-year-old wrote on Instagram: "Mr. Boy Abunda, I love you but I feel something heavy while you are talking to VP Leni. You keep on cutting her and you act like you are against what she is saying. Mas respectful and decent ka kala Sen Ping (Panfilo Lacson) and BBM (Bongbong Marcos). Sorry friend, I am not the only one who felt this."

Rita reiterated that despite the treatment, Leni is still a "winner" for being "truthful" and "frank."

In another post, Rita shared some online users' posts echoing her sentiment.

A netizen wrote: "Un din napansin ko...limitado n nga oras.. d mn lang patapusin.."

Another added: "Ang bastos ni Boy Abunda! Sabat nang sabat!"

Rita couldn't agree more.

She said: "Parang ayaw mo na pasagutin. Parang ayaw mo sha mag-expound. Ang sad Boy. Pinagtanggol pa kita na professional ka and respectful sa sinumang guest mo."

Meanwhile, Rita has since earned numerous bashers because of this.

She opened up about it in another post.

"Laging ginagamit sa akin ng mga 'kalaban' ang pagiging 'bold star' ko noon," she shared. "Baka d pa buhay itong mga ito nung time ko nung mga ST Movies kaya di nila alam how far did the 'ST Queens' went on pagbo-bold. Ang panahon namin ang pinaka-tamed sa mga bold stars. Puro naka 2-pc. Bare back shots. Leg shots."
