Bong Revilla Jr. soars high in 'Agimat Ng Agila Season 2'

Agimat ng Agila Season 2

Actor Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. reprises his role as Major Gabriel Labrador in the highly-anticipated GMA fantasy drama series ‘Agimat ng Agila Season 2’ beginning Jan. 29.

This time, there's more action, more adventure, and more exciting scenes to look forward to in the top-rating program that showcases his adventures and misadventures as the bearer of the powers of an enchanted eagle who sets off on various missions to battle evil forces and protect the environment.

During a Zoom press conference with the entertainment press recently, Bong said he is pleased with the outcome of the new series.

“I am very thankful and very pleasantly surprised,” shared Bong.

Sa lahat naman ng projects na ginagawa namin, we need to surpass the first one.

Rico said: "Yung mga action scenes namin dito, talagang pinaghandaan namin. Pinaganda talaga namin ang mga action sequences. So definitely, mas maraming action scenes sa season 2."

Bong added that they’re all grateful to everyone who are anticipating the upcoming season, “Nakakataba ng puso marinig ang feedback ng mga manonood na sinasabi sa akin na sobrang ganda raw ng Agimat, at nabitin sila, at hinihintay na nila ang book 2.”

Following a successful first season last year, the story continues in a brand-new light with more twists and exciting characters.

Rabiya Mateo

Bong promises that they have intensely prepared for action-packed scenes that viewers loved from the first season, “Mas pinaghandaan ko physically itong book 2.

Also returning to the series is the stellar roster of cast headlined by special guest Elizabeth Oropesa as Nanay Berta, and Benjie Paras as Sergeant Wes Dimanahan together with new cast members Gardo Versoza as Zeus Limjoco, Betong Sumaya as Sergeant Art, Kim de Leon as Jumong, Lia Salvador as Sharmaine, Sandro Muhlach as Archie, Shermaine Santiago as Carol Llamanzares, and newest Kapuso and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Rabiya Mateo as Agent Asha Raj.

Rabiya, who makes her acting debut in the series, said she is thankful for the opportunity to work on this big project.

Gardo Versoza

"Salamat po talaga Senator and I'm very thankful to be part of 'Agimat Ng Aguila Season 2.' This is a blessing at sana magtuloy-tuloy na sya. Pangarap ko rin maging Bond Girl," she said.

On Bong as her leading man, Rabiya said: "Sobrang bait po ni Senator.

Bong believes Rabiya will go places in show business.

"Rabiya is a good actress at may chemistry din kami. I don't want her to compare (kay Sanya Lopez) pero siguro ang mga manonood na lang ang makapagsasabi niyan. At malayo rin ng mararating ni Rabiya. Malay mo maging action queen 'yan. Very smart."

Betong Sumaya

Sanya, who returns as Maya Lagman in the series, said she was thrilled about the action scenes.
