PNP chief awards 5 outstanding cops in W. Visayas


ILOILO CITY— Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Dionardo Carlos awarded five outstanding cops in Western Visayas region.

Carlos awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan to four cops while the Medalya ng Papuri to another cop during a visit a Monday visit, January 24, at Camp Delgado, the PNP regional headquarters in Iloilo City.

Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, director of Police Regional Office (PRO-6), assisted Carlos in awarding the five medals.

Among the Medalya ng Kagalingan awardee was Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca of PRO-6’s Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit for the successful eradication of marijuana in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental province.

Police Major Jake Barila of the Hinigaran PNP in Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental province was also awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan for the arrest of Demosthenes Fernandez.

Police Major Marlyn Roquero of Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO-Station 4) is the third awardee of the Medalya ng Kagalingan for arresting drug personality Raclen Escobar.

The fourth awardee of the Medalya ng Kagalingan is Police Captain John Khalev Sanchez of PRO-6’s Regional Intelligence Division for arresting most wanted person Dennis Subebe

Police Lieutenant Colonel Elmer Magbanua was also awarded the Medalya ng Papuri for personally returning Php 10,000 cash found to its owner.
