The long wait for Filipino fans is over, as ONE Championship announced that the rematch between Denice “Lycan Queen” Zamboanga and Ham Seo Hee will take place at ONE X on March 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It has been six months since their controversial meeting during the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix quarterfinals, which ended with Ham edging out Zamboanga via a hotly contested split decision.

Immediately after the match, fans and pundits expressed that the Marrok Force mainstay got the short end of the stick with the decision.

A day after the contest, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong ordered a formal match review. The committee later upheld the decision, maintaining Ham as the winner.

Ham was slated to face two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex in the semifinals of the Grand Prix, but the Korean pulled out of the tournament due to injuries sustained during training.

Zamboanga also had a scheduled clash with Julie Mezabarba, but the alternate replaced Ham in the semis.

Since then, the two have taken enough rest and are raring to settle the score. The Filipina Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert wants to prove that she’s genuinely the better contender despite the previous defeat.

The highly anticipated rematch beefs up the impressive card for the promotion’s tenth-anniversary show.

Returning ONE Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee will headline the slugfest when she defends her belt against Grand Prix winner Stamp.

Meanwhile, mixed martial arts legend Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and ONE Muay Thai Flyweight World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon will also battle in a hybrid rules superfight. The first and third rounds will fall under Muay Thai rules, while rounds two and four will unfold following global mixed martial arts rules.

Also part of the blockbuster card is the showdown between ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes and Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu in the former’s first world title defense since his sensational win over Johnson last year.

Before ONE X, the world’s largest martial arts organization returns with ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE on Friday, January 28.
