Parañaque BPLO to use one email address to avoid phishing

The Parañaque City Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will be using one email address starting Jan. 31 for better security of the city’s business clients.

According to Atty. Lanie Soriano-Malaya, head of BPLO, they will be using [email protected] to avoid phishing on the accounts, especially for businesses doing online transactions.

Malaya said their old email addresses, [email protected] and [email protected], will no longer be available.

She also advised all business establishments in the city doing online transactions that all incoming and outgoing communications shall be redirected to the new email address.

Meanwhile, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Director General Jeremiah Belgica and Presidential Anti-Commission Chairman Greco Belgica visited the Parañaque City Hall on Jan. 24 to oversee the process of transactions at the offices of BPLO and the City Treasurer's Office.

They were accompanied by Mayor Edwin Olivarez when they visited the offices, where they found the smooth processing for the renewal and payment of business permits.
