“Basta ako, ang loyalty ko sa tao (My loyalty is for the people),” Domagoso said during Jessica Soho’s The Presidential Interviews aired on Saturday, Jan. 22.

“Ang kapakinabangan ng tao ang mahalaga sa akin hindi kapakinabangan ng pulitiko, kung naging mabuti ka ngayon at tinupad mo ang sinabi mo, sasamahan kita (The sake of the people is important to me not the sake of the politician, if you are good now and kept what you said, I will join you),” he said.

Domagoso had switched sides from former Manila mayors Alfredo Lim and Joseph Estrada during his stint as vice mayor.

The Manila mayor said he will unite only with people with good intentions for the Filipinos.

“At the end of the day, basta kung sino mabuting kandidato, kahit ano pang partido niya, at siya ay mabuting tao, sasamahan namin siya, basta ikabubuti ng tao (At the end of the day, as long as he is a good candidate, whatever his party is, and he is a good person, we will accompany him, as long as the person is good),” he said.
