DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan – Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc tested positive for Covid-19 Antigen test on Friday, January 21.

This was confirmed by Manotoc himself, through a video he posted in his Instagram account, and later, in his official Facebook page.

According to Manotoc, he and his staff had their RT-PCR test on Wednesday. His driver tested positive, while the rest, including the Marcos scion, tested negative.

Despite testing negative, Marcos and his staff had to undergo quarantine.

He was subjected to an antigen test on Friday, which turned out positive.

“I want to inform all of you personally that I tested positive via antigen just earlier”, said Manotoc on Friday evening.

He is asymptomatic.

As a reminder, Manotoc urged the public to still practice health protocols, despite being with family and friends.

“Familiarity does not mean safety”, he added. “Be careful. I’ll be just as careful the next time.”
