Polaris, which also had the tournament-best 14-3 game record, was dominant all-series long to frustrate Ragdoll which is now sitting at the third spot in the standing and still seeking to catch the last bus to the upper division.

The all-Filipino crew was simply on-point as they kept their foot on the gas pedal after enduring a strong early game from Ragdoll in both games.

John Anthony “Natsumi” Vargas capped his tournament long brilliance with a 9-2-14 line on the Monkey King in Game 1 and a seamless 9-0-17 showing in the series-clinching Game 2 to help Polaris return to the upper division where Natsumi thinks his squad can hold its own.

“I’m sure we can fight in the Division I because in our scrims, we also scrims the Division I teams and we can fight them,” Natsumi said during the post-game interview while also expressing his excitement in facing the top tier teams in likes of T1 and Boom Esports .

The sweep was a team effort though as Polaris relentlessly attacked Ragdoll at all fronts, easily taking control of the map en route to an easy 32-11 Game 1 win.

Ragdoll showed some resolve in Game 2 with an early 6-1 kill score lead but that hardly bothered Polaris which quickly turned things around with three kills in a clash at the 12-minute mark of the game.

That proved to be the game turning point as Polaris, just like in the first game, left Ragdoll in the dust to secure a 28-13 Game 2 triumph and the top seed in the Division II.
