Filipinos can expect more "botika-based" administration of booster shots for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the near future.
This, as the Department of Health (DOH) bared that it is eyeing the expansion of the "Resbakuna sa Botika" drive to the entirety of the National Capital Region (NCR) beginning mid-February.
Thursday saw the launch of the novel campaign in at least seven pharmacies and private clinics in Metro Manila. The aim of the drive is to make booster shots against COVID-19 more accessible to the public.
As this developed, the DOH still recorded a rather worrisome figure of 31,173 new COVID-19 cases. However, this was somehow tempered by the 26,298 new recoveries also tallied the same day.
Meanwhile, vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio's proposal of institutionalizing mandatory military service for Filipinos aged 18 has some officials in government split.
Duterte-Carpio is the eldest daughter of President Duterte.
