The Department of Health (DOH) reported two deaths due to the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, even as it also posted a decrease in new infections for the second day in a row at 22,958. It also logged more recoveries than new cases at 36,611.
However, cities outside the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus area has reported “very high” coronavirus disease (COVID-19) growth rates, according to the OCTA Research Group.
The health agency also listed the drugstores and clinics where the government’s “Resbakuna sa Botika” will be held starting Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has set aside P1 billion as cash assistance for workers who may have lost their jobs because of COVID-19 restrictions.
