The original “Moon Knight” comic first appeared on Marvel Comics in the mid-70's. Created by Doug Moench and illustrator Don Perlin, Moon Knight first made its debut in the comic “Werewolf By Night” in August of 1975. The original comic character’s alter ego is Marc Spector, a former Marine and CIA operative who is killed and was saved by the Egyption moon god Khonshu.

The “Moon Knight” series in Disney + also stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Jeremy Slater (“The Umbrella Academy” and “The Exorcist”) is head writer while Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directs.
