668 PUV drivers boosted at Manila’s newest drive-thru vax site


Nearly 700 Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers received their booster shots on the first day of operation of the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila, Manila City government’s newest drive-thru booster vaccination site, on Monday, Jan. 17.

Around 668 PUV drivers received their booster shots on the first day of the campaign, the city government announced.

The Bagong Ospital ng Maynila, located beside the Manila Zoo in Malate, Manila, is open to all PUV drivers, including those who are not based in Manila.

The PUV driver booster vaccination was extended until Tuesday, Jan. 18 and was expected to accommodate around 1,000 PUV drivers per day.

Aside from the drive-thru booster campaign for PUV drivers, Manila has further extended its two other drive-thru booster campaigns until Tuesday, Jan. 18, including the drive-thru booster vaccination site for motorists and cyclists at the Bonifacio Shrine beside the Manila City Hall, and another 24-hour drive-thru booster site for four-wheel vehicles at the Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila.

All three vaccination sites are open to non-residents of Manila.
