Police seized P680,000 worth of shabu from two suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 133, Caloocan City at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14.
According to the Northern Police District (NPD) and District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), the suspects — Marlon Mendoza, 25; and Paul Romeo Llacer, 26 — were nabbed at the corner of Guido 1 and A. Mabini Street.
The police confiscated from the suspects more or less 100 grams P680,000 worth of shabu; P7,500 buy-bust money, one sachet with an undetermined amount of white crystalline substance, a black belt bag, and a motorcycle.
The suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were already brought to respective operating units for documentation.
Mendoza and Llacer will be charged for the violation of the Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao commended the operatives for the successful anti-drugs operation.
“These operations will greatly contribute in lessening the drug proliferation in their area of responsibility and generally this will help in our continuous campaign against illegal drugs in Metro Manila,” said Danao.
