Pimentel: Government listing of the unvaccinated is unconstitutional

Senator Aquilino Pimentel III has expressed concern over the constitutionality of a planned listing by government of those still not COVID-19 vaccinated.

This is tantamount to shaming, Pimentel, a former Senate President and a bar topnotcher, said.

He asked whether those who have not been vaccinated yet violated any law.

He, likewise, asked why government still has to have those who elect to stay at home listed as ‘’unvaccinated’’ and make them feel they are wanted.

Listing of the unvaccinated is prohibited, he added.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Ano has issued an order to barangay officials to list those unvaccinated.

The list is supposed to be submitted every month.

The DILG said President Duterte wants to prohibit the unvaccinated to leave their homes as a health safety procedure.
