Restaurant owner treats them instead
With over 22,000 shares, this Facebook post by Jessica Abaslon has been making the rounds. As the owner of JK Samgyupsal Unli-Korean BBQ, and very hands-on at that, Jessica has been very observant with what's going on in the restaurant. Of recent, Jessica posted a picture of a grandfather and his grandchild having dinner in the restaurant.
The child, Joshua, wanted to eat there, but the grandfather reminded him that they should save enough money to eat there. Joshua then told the staff that they will be back. Apparently, this pair usually hangs out in the area, asking for alms.
"It was around 6 p.m. when they came back and the child was able to collect P199 in loose change," shares Jessica who approached the two of them and told them not to pay. They brought out food good for two and even gave them some take-out food to bring home. "Got some realizations that we are still very lucky kung ano man ang meron tayo ngayon, learn how to be content and appreciate things, maliit man or malaki."
