Pasay City COVID cases now at 1,750


Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano called on the unvaccinated city residents to get jabbed against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after the city’s confirmed cases reached 1,750.

Rubiano said based on the report of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), 452 new cases were recorded bringing the city’s total number of confirmed cases to 1,750.

She said that from 23, 942 confirmed cases, the CESU reported 51 recoveries.

The mayor is also asking all the residents to properly observe the minimum health protocols and to get vaccinated.

Rubiano said a total of 179 out of 201 barangays in the city have recorded COVID-19 cases.

She said two communities in the city recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases. These are Barangays 183 with 232, and 201 with 133.

The mayor said the city government will be conducting vaccination at the MOA Giga Vacc Center for the pediatric population on Jan 10 to 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Rubiano said the city government is accepting pre-registered and walk-ins at the vaccination site.

She added the companion of a child who has not received the first and second doses of vaccines or the booster shot will also be accepted.
