Children of former couple Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon and their respective families reunited recently.

Though actress Lotlot de Leon and her kids did not join.

In an article published on PEP.ph, the gathering was Ian, Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko de Leon's surprise late Christmas party for their mom.

According to the report, Ate Guy was emotional upon seeing her only biological son Ian, as well as, her other adoptive kids.

Former rapper-actor John Rendez even shared a selfie of him along with Nora and her kids and grandkids.

Recall that in December 2020, Ian took to YouTube to air a message to his mother. It was entitled “The Bitter Truth.”

Ian said, “Ma, mahal na mahal kita. Hindi magbabago ‘yon. Pero kasi ang sakit na eh. Hindi ko na kayang manahimik pa...”

The actor went on to relate the backstory concerning their recent reunion.

“Una sa lahat, tumawag ang mommy ko. Tuwang-tuwa ako kasi ilang taon kaming hindi nag-usap. Tuwang-tuwa ako dahil nag-I love you-han kami, nag-I miss you-han kami. Nagkuwentuhan kami. Plano niya nitong birthday ko maghahanda siya which ilang taong hindi nangyari ‘yon,” he shared, noting how “truly happy” he was and “overfilled with joy” because of it.

But Ian made clear his disappointment with Nora asking him to let her upload footage of their reunion on her vlog.

It was then he said, “This has to end. Hypocrisy has to end. We don’t like to live like this anymore. We don’t want to live a lie anymore.”

He went on, “Ma, alam ko nanonood kayo.

Following Ian's statement, Lotlot was quick to defend her brother from a netizen critical of his decision to boycott the birthday party his mother arranged for him.

Meanwhile, Matet then also posted a message to her mother's loyal fanbase.

She wrote on Instagram: “Some people are really so delusional that they think it’s disrespectful when you don’t just sit back and allow them to continue to disrespect you.”

Matet added, “Para kaming nakatali, naka busal, habang sinasampal sampal.”
