Director for Basic Education Maria Louella Tampinco announced this through a letter released by the Office of Basic Education Unit (BEU) on Friday, Jan. 7.

Tampinco, in a letter addressed to BEU students and parents, said that the MC will observe academic ease on Jan. 10 to 15, 2022, “in light of the current health status of the employees and students at all units.”

The academic ease, she said, would cover the different academic units under BEU which include Grade School (GS), High School (HS), Skills Development and Technical Education Center (SDTEC), and MC Nuvali campus.

“During these days, there will be no synchronous sessions, graded activities, or submissions to enable all to focus on their physical health and recovery,” Tampinco said.

However, Tampinco noted that “there will be optional learning activities uploaded on KNOLLER for those who feel well enough to engage.”

The “KNOLLER” or the KNowledge and Online Learning Resource is the learning portal of Miriam College.

Meanwhile, Tampinco also urged parents to inform the school of “any concerns by emailing your child’s homeroom adviser.” This, she said, can also be done through the KNOLLER.

Tampinco also informed the parents and the students that the school will reach out to “you the in the coming days to monitor the health status of your household.”

This, Tampinco said, will help Miriam College to make its decisions related to the school and its students.

“We pray unceasingly for everyone’s safety, protection, and health at this challenging time,” she added.
