Fair weather seen across most of PH -- PAGASA

Generally fair weather will prevail across the country, the State weather bureau said Friday, Jan. 7.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will affect northern Luzon bringing slightly colder weather compared to other parts of the country.

The lowest air temperatures on Jan. 7 are as follows:

Baguio City -- 13.5 degrees Celsius (°C)

San Jose, Occidental Mindoro -- 18.5°C

Malaybalay, Bukidnon -- 19.0°C

Tanay, Rizal -- 19.0°C

Casiguran, Aurora -- 20.0°C

Tayabas, Quezon -- 20.2°C

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan -- 20.2°C

Laoag City, Ilocos Norte -- 20.5°C

Science Garden, Quezon City -- 20.6°C

Clark, Pampanga -- 20.7°C

In the next 24 hours, Batanes may experience light monsoon rains while Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have isolated light monsoon rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public that the occurrence of severe thunderstorms may sometimes trigger flash floods or landslides.
