DAR Secretary Bernie F. Cruz distributed the government's aid and spoke with department employees during an official visit in the typhoon-stricken province.

In a statement, Cruz said that agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from Barangay Mambaruto in Sipalay City received relief supplies including rice, water, and canned goods.

The generators were given to the DAR municipal offices in Hinigaran, Himamaylan, Cauayan, and Sipalay City where power supply remains to be a problem.

Cruz assured affected workers and ARBs that the agency will assist them in rehabilitating and reviving their livelihood.

Meanwhile, Field Operations Office (FOO) Undersecretary Elmer Distor has requested municipal offices to submit a complete inventory of office equipment and items that need to be provided following Odette's destruction.

“We will try to address all your requests because if everything is in order, we have no excuses in accomplishing our goals of serving our farmers,” Distor said.
