Cavite’s active COVID-19 cases up from 327 to 1,156 in 5 days

CAVITE – Gov. Jonvic Remulla announced a sharp increase in active coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the province in a span of five days.

"NOT GOOD. COVID-19 cases in Cavite soar to 1,156 today from 327 last December 31," Remulla tweeted on Wednesday (Jan. 5).

"Please avoid all unnecessary socializing and eating in groups. Maintain all social distancing and health protocols please. Omicron will most likely infect a huge number of the population."

Cavite has been placed under Alert Level 3 together with Bulacan and Rizal from Jan. 5 to Jan. 15 to curb the further spread of the virus amid the threat of the Omicron variant.
