K-pop idol group BTS members RM and Jin have fully recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after Suga.
“We would like to inform you that BTS members RM and Jin have made full recoveries from COVID-19 and his quarantine has concluded as of today at noon, January 4,” announced Big Hit Music.
It added, “RM and Jin who had been receiving treatment from home for the past ten days from Saturday, December 25 are now able to return to their daily activities.
“Neither member exhibited any particular symptoms during their quarantine. Jin had a slight fever when he first began treatment at home but has since made a full recovery,” it said.
Big Hit Music said, “We would like to thank all fans who have shown concerns for the artist’s health as well as those in the medical field who are doing their best to overcome COVID-19. We will continue to place the health of the artists as our top priority, and to vigilantly follow the healthcare guidelines.”
RM and Jin recovered from COVID-19 a day after Big Hit Music announced that Suga made his full recovery from the disease on Jan. 4.
On Christmas Day, the agency announced that “RM and Jin were diagnosed with COVID-19 on the evening of Saturday, December 25.”
“After returning on Friday the 17th from the United States following his personal schedule as part of his official vacation period, RM immediately underwent PCR testing, was found negative and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated by COVID-19 control procedures. However, he underwent PCR testing today before his scheduled release from quarantine and was found to be positive for COVID-19; he is currently exhibiting no particular symptoms,” it said.
Jin returned to Korea from the US on Dec. 6 and he “underwent PCR testing immediately after his return and again before his release from self-quarantine, and was found negative on both occasions.”
“However, feeling flu-like symptoms this afternoon he underwent PCR testing and was found positive for COVID-19 late this evening . He is exhibiting mild symptoms including light fever, and is undergoing self-treatment at home,” said Big Hit Music.
RM, Jin and Suga’s COVID-19 cases were breakthrough infections, or COVID-19 infection of a fully vaccinated person. The three got fully vaccinated last August.
