The Taguig police arrested three persons for illegal drugs in two buy-bust operations conducted in the city.
On Sept. 8, operatives from the Taguig Drug Enforcement Unit launched a buy-bust operation at No. 125 Sitio Pinaglabanan, Brgy. Western Bicutan that resulted in the arrest of suspects Cris Carsula, 43, and Evelyn Ignacio, 48, both residents of Taguig City.

Confiscated from the suspects were four transparent plastic sachets containing about 7.1 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) estimated to be worth P48,280, a coin purse, and two P100 bills used as buy-bust money. The drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) crime laboratory for analysis.
In another buy-bust operation on Sept. 9 in Sitio Bagong Pag-asa, Gate 3, Brgy. Western Bicutan, the Taguig police arrested Rhomie Llavan, 43, a security guard and a resident of Taguig.
Recovered from Llavan's possession were five transparent plastic sachets suspected to be shabu weighing about 12.3 grams and worth ₱83,640, a coin purse, and two ₱100 bills used as buy-bust money.
“Let us sustain the momentum of our rigid campaign against illegal drugs. We will continue with our efforts and we will strengthen our operation for the community we are sworn to serve and protect,” said SPD Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg.
