3 suspects fall in P1.2-M shabu buy-busts in Muntinlupa, Taguig

The Muntinlupa and Taguig police arrested three suspects in separate buy-bust operations that led to the confiscation of P1.23 million worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) Saturday.

Operatives from the Muntinlupa City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit under Police Col. Melecio Buslig, chief of police, conducted a buy-bust operation at 8 p.m. in Purok 4, Brgy. Alabang.

Arrested in the operation was Kim Delos Santos, 27, of Las Pinas. Seized from Delos Santos were three plastic sachets containing about 100 grams of shabu with a value of P680,000.

In Taguig, operatives from the Drug Enforcement Unit under police chief, Police Col. Celso Rodriguez, conducted a buy-bust operation at 5:15 p.m in Balagtas Street, Brgy. Lower Bicutan.

The police arrested suspects Lawan Limbao, 23, and Aida Palog, 48, both residing in Taguig. Confiscated from them were three plastic sachets containing about 81.11 grams of shabu worth P551,548, a digital weighing scale and P8,000 used as buy-bust money.

All the suspects are under the custody of the police and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Southern Police District Director, Police Brigadier Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, commended the Muntinlupa and Taguig police for the operations.

“The dedication of our police officers is highly commendable. They relentlessly pursue criminals and suspects in our fight against illegal drugs. This is what drives the whole Team SPD to continuously deliver public service at its best. I am also calling on the community to help and cooperate with the Southern Police District by providing and or reporting any information that will help us apprehend illegal drug suspects in Southern Metro,” he said.
