KCC PH offers family-oriented Korean activities this May

KCC Philippines’ 'Kolorful Adventures' for the month of May (KCC)

May is Family Month in South Korea and in line with this, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines is offering different activities for enthusiasts of Korean films, K-dramas, K-pop and K-Culture.

KCC is kicking off May with the “2021 Korean Film Festival: Full House, Fun for All,” featuring seven films covering action, comedy and family drama.

These are "Exit," “Miss and Mrs. Cops,” “My Annoying Brother,” “Extreme Job,” “Keys to the Heart,” “The Soul-Mate” and “Kim Jiyoung, Born in 1982,” which all can be viewed for free from May 7 to 27 at KCC’s official website (http://phil.korean-culture.org/en). Viewers also have the chance to win prizes by joining the 2021 KFF Online Film Reaction Essay Contest and the KFF Survey.

For Korean drama fanatics, KCC is launching the shorterview series called “Along With K-Culture: Meet the K-Stans.” Shorterview is a combination of the words “short” and “interview,” which is an increasingly popular format in Korea’s online shows and vlogs.

In this six-part series, which will be released every 10th of the month starting on May 10, elements of K-Culture and assessment of its impact locally will be discussed by experts and keynote speakers from various industries and institutions.

For K-pop stans, K-pop dance diva Dasuri Choi will be hosting the “K-Dance Clinic” on May 19. Catch the free live stream of Dasuri’s dance tutorial with lucky participants who have joined “K-Dance! Power Up” event last month on KCC ‘s official YouTube channel.

Finally, every Thursday this month, KCC”s social media followers will learn more about Korean customs including the concept of courtesy, warm affection, community and fun.
