The Philippine drug war documentary "Aswang" is among the 238 projects eligible for Oscars consideration to be included in the shortlist of 15 films that will be announced on Feb. 9.
"Aswang" is the Philippines' official entry for best documentary at this year's Oscars.
"The film is eligible for the Awards after winning the grand prize at Academy-qualifying DMZ International Documentary Film Festival," they shared.
Directed by Alyx Arumpac, the documentary tackles the stories of victims from poor communities, exposing how their lives have changed during the current administration’s campaign against illegal drugs.
