Chris Martin, frontman of well-loved British rock band Coldplay, has revealed something that their fans would never want to read or hear.

On BBC's "Radio 2," Chris shared that their "last proper record" will come out in 2025.

"And after that I think we will only tour," he added. "And maybe we'll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then."

Program host Jo Whiley reacted about it, saying she was "never quite sure if he's joking."

The statement of Chris came just some months after he told music magazine NME that the group intended to stop after 12 albums.

Note that since their band was formed in 1996, Coldplay was able to release nine albums.

Among their hit tracks include "Yellow," "Clocks," "Viva La Vida," "A Sky Full of Stars," etc. In November, Coldplay hit No. 1 again with BTS in their collab single "My Universe."
