Cabuyao, Los Baños, San Pablo top Laguna's vaccination performance


LAGUNA – The provincial government recognized its top-performing local government units (LGU) for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination efforts from March 1 to December 17.

Cabuyao City was awarded as the Top Performing City, with 99.90 percent of its target population inoculated with at least one dose.

Los Baños was recognized as the Top Performing Municipality, with 100 percent of its target population given at least one dose of the vaccine.

San Pablo City got a special award as a Top Performing City, with 79.83 percent of its target population fully vaccinated.

Cabuyao and Los Baños LGUs received a financial inventive of P250,000 each, while San Pablo was given a P50,000 incentive.

On December 9, the Laguna Provincial Government was recognized for achieving the highest cumulative jab rate during the National Vaccination Days from November 29 to December 1.

The recognition was given by the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19.
