Robredo’s office recognized for best practices by CSC, DAP

Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her gratitude to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for the recognition they bestowed on the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) programs and processes.

In a social media post, Robredo shared that the OVP was awarded the PRIME-HRM Level II Accreditation for Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management by the CSC while two of their programs—Community Learning Hubs and Free Shuttle and Ferry Services for frontliners—were among the six Government Best Practices for COVID-19 Response recognized by DAP.

“Last week, we were also awarded our ISO Certification which we have been achieving every year since we first got our ISO Certification in 2017,” she said in a tweet over the weekend.

An ISO certification is a seal of approval that the company or agency runs to one of the international standards set by the International Organization for Standardization.

On the other hand, PRIME-HRM, or the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management, is a certification given by the CSC to government agencies’ human resource systems that support their employees in achieving excellence.

The Certificate of Recognition from the CSC is proof that the OVP’s “four pillars of human resources met the standards under PRIME-HRM Level II,” a statement from Robredo’s office said.

At the height of the coronavirus pandemic last year, the OVP also spearheaded several programs, among them were the community learning hubs and free shuttle and ferry services for frontliners.

These were designed in response to the pandemic with help from the private sector, which the OVP has reached out to for assistance.

Robredo has repeatedly said she sought “to regain the people’s trust in government” by ensuring that the OVP “sets an example, despite its limited budget, for the delivery of public services.”

For the past three years, the OVP also received the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA).
