P3.4 M shabu seized in joint PDEA, PNP operation


A total of P3.4-million worth of shabu was confiscated in an anti-drug operation conducted by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Paranaque City police, and Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) on Sunday, Dec. 12.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspect as Jimmy Kasim, a resident of Quiapo, Manila.

Macaraeg said Kasim was detained at the PDEA custodial facility and was charged for violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2022.

He said the suspect was arrested at about 11:00 a.m. in front of a fast food chain's parking lot located on San Antonio Avenue, Paranaque City.

The SPD chief said the team confiscated 500 grams of shabu amounting to P3.4-million which was considered as the biggest drugs confiscated in the Southern part of Metro Manila.

Macaraeg said he will maintain close coordination and will give full support to PDEA in conducting drug operations against drug suppliers in the southern part of Metro Manila.
