Oheb stars as Blacklist bucks slow start to beat Bedel

Kiel “Oheb” Soriano took over in the late game as Blacklist International survived a brave stand from the Turkish team Bedel, 1-0, in the group stage match between the unbeaten teams in the Group A of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang: M3 World Championship at the Suntec Convention Center on Monday, Dec 6.

Oheb on his signature Beatrix pick wreaked havoc in the late game as Blacklist had to survive some anxious moments against the winners of the Turkey qualifiers to keep a spotless 2-0 record in the Group A standings.

Oheb’s Beatrix powered the Filipinos’ 16-7 triumph with a stellar 13-1-2 performance while Salic “Hadji” Imam on the Yve and Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna on the Rafaela provided support with a 1-1-12 and 0-2-14 score lines, respectively.

It was actually Bedel that dictated the tempo with its aggression courtesy of a jungle Fanny and support Selena picks. The Turkish team even took a 3-1 kill lead in the early goings of the game.

Blacklist however showed composure during that stretch as it waited for its late-game lineup anchored on Oheb and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario’s jungle Aldous to reach its power spikes in the late game.

Oheb, who had his free reigns in the gold lane, joined the fray in the midlane clash where he scored the tournament’s first Maniac at the seventh minute mark of the game.

That ultimately turned the tables on Blacklist's favor as it focused on taking down the towers and denying Paranoid’s Fanny his purple buff.

Bedel, however, refused to go down without a fight as Paranoid completed a Lord steal to create the much-needed space and try to stall the game.

Blacklist’s late game firepower, however, was just too much for Bedel as it easily defended the Lord march before going on its own death push and scoring a wipeout to get an inside track of the top spot in the group and a place in the upper bracket playoffs.
