Mandaluyong City celebrates National Children’s Month

The Mandaluyong City government and the Local Council for the Protection of Children led the celebration of the National Children’s Month on Monday, Dec. 6.

Mayor Menchie Abalos graced a morning program dedicated to the children.

The program featured the performances of winners of various contests held in the city throughout the year.

Teacher Michelle Benzon of Addition Hills Integrated School (AHIS), the grand winner of Gurong Palaban: The Search for BIRITitser 2021, performed on stage.

Winners of the “EcoFashionista” entertained the audience with their rendition of MayMay Entrata’s Amakabogera.

During the event, winners of “Batang Reporter ng Pediatric Vaccination” contest gave a report on the state of pediatric vaccination.

Aside from the celebration, the city government also witnessed the oath-taking of the Mandaluyong City Girl Scout Council, including the 10 “Chief Girl Scouts” medalists.

Traffic enforcers, who excelled in the performance of their duties in the city, were also given due recognition during the program. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
