The tricycle driver who figured in a hit-and-run incident that killed a 21-year-old motorcycle rider had surrendered to the police on Friday, Dec. 3.

In a GMA News report, police said Sam Villanueva, 18, surrendered on Friday night after days in hiding.

The victim, Jaime Santiago ba III, died on the spot after he got thrown from his motorcycle during a collision with the tricycle on Langit Road on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Villianueva said he surrendered because he couldn’t eat or sleep and also upon the advice of his mother.

He hid for three days from the authorities out of fear from the police.
