Kiefer Ravena, Kobe Paras suffer same fate in B.League

The teams of Kiefer Ravena and Kobe Paras couldn’t snap their losing streaks anew after suffering defeats in Japan’s B.League this weekend.

Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars were handed a 102-75 road defeat by the Shibuya Sun Rockers to start their two-game set Sunday, Dec. 5 while Paras’ Niigata Albirex were swept by the Akita Northern Happinets.

Niigata fell 79-62 in the first match the previous day before dropping an 89-58 decision.

Shiga lost for the seventh straight time to fall 6-9 while Niigata dropped to 2-14 after a 13th consecutive defeat.

Ravena struggled for Shiga with just four points on 1-of-8 shooting with three assists and two steals in 15 minutes.

The Lakestars meet the Sun Rockers anew on Monday.

Paras scored only five points on 1-of-7 from the field in the second match for Niigata.

Dwight Ramos was also on the losing end as the Toyama Grouses were defeated by the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 80-69.

Ramos had 14 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Grouses, who got swept by the Golden Kings in their two-game set for a 4-12 record.

The San-En Neophoenix fell to 3-13 after losing twice to the Mikawa Sea Horses minus Thirdy Ravena, who served a two-game suspension for smashing a signboard after a loss last month.
