The UPSW celebration aims to strengthen the correlation between urban poor communities towards government and non-government organizations (NGOs).

“Tampok sa gawaing ito ang pagsasama-sama ng mga urban poor leaders sa buong panig ng bansa na naglalayon na mas mapagtibay pa ang ugnayan ng mga maralitang tagalungsod patungo sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno at non-government organizations (A part of this activity is the integration of urban poor leaders across the country, aiming to further strengthen the relationship of the urban poor towards government and non-government organizations),” said PCUP in an official statement.

Among the awaited highlights of the activity are the messages of support for the urban poor and PCUP programs and services, as well as the Commission’s actions and initiative to address the problems of hunger and unemployment faced by Filipinos during the pandemic.

The event will be spearheaded by PCUP Chairperson at Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Undersecretary Alvin S. Feliciano, Commissioners Norman Baloro, Randy H. Halasan, Romeo H. Jandugan, and Melvin P. Mitra, as well as the chiefs of each Field Operations Divisions and PCUP.
