The search is on for 182 travelers, who arrived in the country from South Africa, as authorities to try to pull off all the stops to keep the country protected from the Omicron coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This, as three travelers from South Africa, Egypt and Burkina Faso reportedly tested positive for the dreaded disease.
Despite the threat of Omicron, the OCTA Research Group anticipates a bright Christmas for Filipinos even as the Department of Health reported, for the 10th straight day, less than 1,000 new cases of coronavirus infections.
Meanwhile, many are waiting with bated breath on who President Duterte will endorse as presidential bet in the May 2022 elections, and the Palace is asking the public and the political sector to give him more time to decide.
