VNS Manileño Spikers swept Global Remit, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20, Saturday to finish third place in the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champion’s League for Men at the Aquamarine Recreational Center in Lipa City, Batangas.

John Benedict San Andres and Mark Montemayor steered the Manileño Spikers with their hard-hitting kills, pumping in combined 25 points to end their campaign on a high note.

San Andres and Montemayor finished with 15 and 12 points.

Still reeling from their semifinal loss to Team Dasma Monarchs Friday night, the Manileño Spikers regained their composure to dominate Global Remit in 77 minutes.

John Daniel Diwa and Roniey Adviento provided enough net coverage for the Manileño Spikers by teaming up five of the squad’s eight blocks, while San Andres also took charge of their floor defense along with Vince Lorenzo with combined 16 digs.

Global Remit, which lost to Go for Gold-Air Force Aguilas in the semis, lost its spunk with only Jade Disquitado scoring in double figures with 14 points.

Joshua Villanueva and Joshua Zareno had nine and six points in a failed attempt.
