DAVAO CITY — A water cannon salute welcomed on Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 1) the arrival of Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines, in Davao City.
Scoot's A320 aircraft arrived at the Davao International Airport around 2:00 pm from Singapore.
In a Facebook post, tourism officer Generose Tecson of the Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) said the maiden flight had 102 passengers onboard.
"Scoot will fly Singapore-Davao-Singapore every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday arriving in Davao at 2:00pm and departing for Singapore at 4:05pm," Tecson added.
In 2019, it bagged the “Best Low-Cost Carrier” award at the 30th TTG Asia Awards and the Travel Weekly Asia 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards.
